The OWA works with consulting firms and contracting companies with experience in the upstream oil and gas
industry and a track record of doing quality work. When all considerations are equal (equipment and
rates, experience and attention to safety), we will preferentially hire local contractors to put money back
into the community where the orphan wells or sites are located.
The OWA would like to remind interested companies that there are more qualified
companies than there is orphan work available, so we are unable to hire everyone who submits information to
us. We reserve the right to select consulting firms and contracting companies at our discretion, as they
act as our representatives with the landowners and the communities they work in.
Prospective companies please review the Request for Information, which can be downloaded below. Thank you
for your interest in the Orphan Well Association.
